That’s right. Eliana turned 6 months old today.
We celebrated by going to Home Depot and Superfresh, then later we took a walk around the neighborhood to pre-emptively cut off her usual 4pm meltdown. It kind of worked; I managed to postpone it until Mommy got home from work.
So, okay, we didn’t really “celebrate” per se…. Maybe after she’s started on solid foods we’ll make her a cake. Which reminds me, we were going to start giving her rice cereal at six months. Time to buy some, I suppose.
No new milestones yet. She’s rolled over from front to back a couple of times, but not too often yet. No teeth yet. Photo album’s got the latest photos. And next week, she starts day care, and we both go back to work five days a week. She takes a bottle very well now, so aside from the whole “handing our daughter off to strangers for 6-8 hours a day” everything should be okay.
In other news, our kitchen renovations will be done in about two weeks. All that’s really left is the countertop, the floors, and the appliance delivery and installation, and then some minor cleaning up. And then we’ll have our house back for the first time all summer.
